'Hang out' is code for 'let's go spend money to have a good time'. I really don't like that. I don't like spending my money unless it's something I really really want. I don't like spending money at all. And I don't like spending money I don't have. I had to borrow some from my dad. I know it'll be taken from my allowance, but I just don't want to spend it. I'm saving up and I've made some big purchases recently. I went to two concerts in the past 3 months, pitched in to buy Rock band, bought some shirts from the panic concert, paid for a gift card for my friend's birthday. I just don't want to spend more. Why can't my friends hang out around our own neighbourhood? This is ridiculous. But I want to hang out with them, and they're all going...I don't want to be the anti-social one just because I care more about my expenses than the rest of them.
The panic concert was amazing. Worth every penny to get there and for the shirts. That's the thing- it was the best time of my life and I know those memories are worth more than money. I'm glad I've got them. I'm glad I got to spend that time with my mum.

Anyway, sorry if I'm being a downer. I'm incredibly tired and it's raining outside. The dish washer will probably go on at 4 am and I'm not exactly looking forward to it.
On the bright side...I wrote a poem that I like. Maybe I'll post it next time.

The concert must have been awesome. How much did it cost in total?
And having to spend money just to hang out with your friends sucks. I know I would definitely prefer hanging out in my own neighbourhood. I think that if you tell them you don't have the money to spend right now, they'll understand.
